HR 875 and S 425: Monsanto v. Organic Farming

One of my colleagues passed this information to me.  Your health freedoms and those of your children are (again) at risk.

Can you believe we live in a country that would think to pass laws to make it a crime to grow produce WITHOUT toxic pesticides?  You would if you knew how far Monsanto's tentacles reach.

There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening (think the 2nd incarnation of the Patriot Act).

Main backer and lobbyist is Monsanto, a corporate chemical giant, and manufacturer of the world largest selling pesticide, "Round Up".

This bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the newly formed agency to "make sure there is no danger to the public food supply". (That statement doesn't even make sense.)

This will include backyard gardens that grow food only for a family and is not for sale.

THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

If this bill passes, NO more heirloom clean seeds will be planted; only Monsanto genetically altered (GMO/GE) seeds that are now showing up with unexpected diseases in humans.

The name on this plan is "Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009", and it has little to nothing to do with food safety. This is only about gaining TOTAL CONTROL of the food industry.

There are many changes that are happening very quickly that are not being discussed on 20/20, Dateline or your local news channel. The purpose of the LNH blog is to create awareness, discussion and action relating to topical and relevant health and health freedom issues so no one is left behind. Health Freedom is all about choice, and if we aren't aware we have a choice, we are unable to exercise our power (vote/opinion).

There are those who do not want to believe that our government would allow a monopoly on the food industry. After all, the US was founded on, among other things, free enterprise.  But through investigating and researching various health issues, we became educated about what changes have occurred in our country's infrastructure and Monsanto's goal to 'own' theworld's food supply.  It's understandable why some view the this as a 'conspiracy theory' or as 'scary'.  Things can be scary when we are unaware of a subject or not educated on the facts.  

It's really this simple:                                                   

Darwin once said, "Who controls the food, controls the people."

Monsanto is the largest and most profitable chemical company in the world.  GMO is defined as a Genetically Modified Organism and GE as Genetically Engineered.  Monsanto is the world's largest producer of GMO seeds, therefore, Monsanto is the world leader in the manufacturing GMO and GE products.  They are also the same folks who created Agent Orange (think Vietnam). 

Monsanto isn't the only offender.  BASF, corporate farming companies and chemical companies are also blameworthy.

The Top Four GMO Products are:

• corn

• soy

• canola (rapeseed)

• cottonseed oil  

GMO seeds were created to produce high yield crops.  The seed is able to produce a plant that will not only produce soy (for example), but it is also designed to kill insects. Think about that....the seed is genetically altered to kill living things....and they expect this is fit for human consumption with no health risks?  

The seeds can cost four times the amount of natural seeds, placing a financial burden on farmers.  This has substantially increased the suicide rate of farmers in India, as they are unable to meet their financial obligations when their crops don't yield what they anticipated.  

The key to physical health is keeping the cells in a vibrant environment. Monsanto's "Round Up" is the world largest selling pesticide (as defined by the EPA).  Let's briefly discuss the estrogenetics of "Round Up":

• weight gain

• anxiety

• mood swings

• male breasts (man boobs)

• early puberty and development in children

There is also a connection to birth defects and breast cancer.

Suffice it to say the end products offer little to no nutritional value.  Nutrition is the reason we eat.  The body needs to be nourished to live, function and thrive. Eating in itself does not necessarily provide good nutrition, as we have witnessed by an overfed, yet malnourished nation, riddled with a new series of serious, yet preventable diseases. Theoretically, mankind will be killed off in this process.  Sounds criminal, doesn't it?
