How Much Do You Know About Monsanto?

Let's back the bus up for a moment and spotlight Monsanto. Here's the short, unbiased story:

Monsanto is an American Multinational Agricultural Biotechnology Corporation and the producer of the world's leading herbicide glyphosate, Round Up. It is also by far the leading producer of genetically engineered (GE) seed, holding 70%–100% market share for various crops.

I did a research paper on Monsanto years ago, and was shocked to read the many claims and suits against them. At that time, I was naive, believing that our government would take care our health and well being, and do nothing to allow harm to its citizens, much less propagate it.

Ok, so I've since had a big wake up call. It was (and still is) shocking and disappointing to see how much damage (at the expense of human life and health) Monsanto continues to leave in their wake....and they make no apologies for it. 

I find that attitude irresponsible, arrogant and unconscionable.

I was introduced to public health issues as a result of 9/11. Being a 'newbie', I was taken aback by the highly charged and emotional responses of others in attendance at meetings, seminars and lectures, and how the panelists and leaders would also become very emotional relevant to health freedom issues. I didn't want to believe what I was hearing, and initially felt that these people were over-reacting.  The truth is they knew more than I did about these issues. A lot more. And some of them had heartbreaking personal stories and testimonies. I then realized that I had mistaken their passion, concern and drive for theatrics and histrionics. To that end, I learned a big lesson about judgement...and now reserve mine, and simply present facts. People are savvy and can make their own choices when presented with facts, information and education.
