OTC Drugs Linked to Health Complications in Seniors

According to the Journal of Clinical Interventions in Aging, a research study conducted by the University of Indiana shows that several popular over-the-counter drugs commonly used for cold symptoms, pain and sleep issues, have shown to increase risk of cognitive impairment and delirium in seniors.  They are:
• Benadryl
• Dramamine
• Excedrine PM
• Nytol
• Sominex
• Tylenol PM
• Unisom

In the case of "relieving symptoms", we prefer to frame it as "bringing the body into balance". There is no magic bullet, rather a lifestyle system which creates health synchronicity. Many natural means have been previously posted on this blog. Ashwaganda, Passion Flower and Valerian are a few herbal suggestions.  Flower Essence Therapies address any emotional issues that interfere with a good night's sleep (mind won't shut off, etc.). Should you have a specific request that has not been covered, feel free to email us at info@lagunanaturalheath.com.
