Every time you turn around, someone is talking about energy, specifically sustainable energy. We hear about cars, electricity, home and commercial use, etc., but not much about sustainable energy for people.
Although I studied Sclerology under Leonard Mehlmauer, ND, author of The Great Liquid Diet, he taught me one the most valuable and favorite lessons about my passion, Nutrition. RMVJ (Raw Mixed Vegetable Juice) is a sugar-balancing juice blend that is detoxifying to the body (my other passion). This is especially important for Diabetic, pre-Diabetic, Adrenal and/or Pancreatic issues. It's a favorite because it is simple to make, tasty, and highly effective. It's also surprisingly filling (but not in a bloat-creating way), making it an outstanding energy-sustaining snack choice. There's no surge and crash....rather an even, balanced energy flow that stays with you for hours. It's easy to see why RMVJ has become the rave/fave signature juice blend at Laguna Natural Health. Everyone (including the FedEx guy) loves it (and expects it) when they come by!
You will need:
3 large carrots
3 stalks celery
1 garlic bud
1/2 zucchini or cucumber (we use cukes)
2 large apples with peel
1/2 lemon with peel
Scrub ingredients in soapy water, then rinse in cold, clear water. If they are organic, do not peel any of them (this is where most of the nutrition lives). If they are not organic, soak and carefully scrub them. You may need to cut your ingredients to fit into your juicer.
Note: carrot, beet, apple, garlic and lemon should always be included in the recipe, but you can substitute the greens for other greens -- celery, zucchini, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, parsley, cabbage, etc., to integrate other nutrients into the recipe. Switch it up and have fun with it!
Yield: approximately 16 oz -- enough to share.
It's important to consume the juice immediately. Do not store or let sit, as the quality of the juice will dissipate as time passes. Just pour and enjoy.
