Today's LA Times: "FDA to Reexamine Use of Mercury in Dental Fillings

The FDA hearings will be held Tuesday, December 14 and Wednesday, December 15, 2010 in Washington, DC.

The LA Times says, "The issue is potentially thorny because if the FDA determined that amalgam fillings posed a risk, millions of people would have to decide whether to have them removed, and if so, how to pay for that."

We wish every success to Charlie Brown, Consumer's for Dental Choice, Californians for Green Dentistry, the World Alliance for Mercury-Free Dentistry and everyone who has been fighting for mercury-free dentistry.

If you can't be in DC for the hearings, you can do your part to help by putting some heat on your city council and state representatives by emailing/calling their offices and letting them know you are concerned about this important health and environmental issue. Just ask them if they're aware of the FDA hearings this week and direct them to the LA Times story link. Ask them if they're on Facebook (many are) and refer them to the "Californians for Green Dentistry" page and the Consumers for Dental Choice (www.toxicteeth.org) website.

Stay tuned....
