Statin Drugs: The Next "Nutrient" for Fast Food Consumers?

A doctor from Imperial College London proclaimed that people who eat burgers and shakes at fast food restaurants should be given free stain drugs (like ketchup packets) to counteract the cholesterol effects of eating low quality fast food. Seriously???

Here's the story:

The mind reels.

Sidebar: Did you know that MD's receive zero hours of nutritional training in a typical medical school curricula? That's right --- nil, none, nada. So it's no wonder why they prescribe drugs to treat symptoms, rather than suggest viable, high quality food choices to improve health.

I had some Ph.D's, MD's, RN's and PA's in classes with me during my natural health studies. Their desire is to provide their patients with the highest quality of care. I appreciate and applaud their effort and attendance.

The more knowledge we have to share, the more empowered our communities become.

Enjoy a peaceful weekend.
