The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz

We thought we'd close the week out with another anti-stress favorite, The Four Agreements. We love the simplistic approach to life transformation.

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions

Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best

Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.

Enjoy a peaceful weekend.

An Affirmative Prayer

A colleague sent this to me today, and I thought I'd share it with you.  So do some connective breaths and take it in.....

May today there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in ourself and others.
May you use the gifts that you have received, and you pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content with yourself just the way you are.

Enjoy a peaceful day,

Is There an Ocean in that Seashell?

While you're de-stressing this month, take a walk on the beach.  Many folks relax while shell searching. The roar that we hear when we place a seashell next to our ear is not the ocean, but rather the sound of blood surging through the veins in the ear. Any cup-shaped object placed over the ear produces the same effect.
